Purchase of Controlled goods

This solution is for a telephone ordering service that involves the supply of controlled drugs. It uses a text-independent speech biometric engine, which makes the process very intuitive for the caller. In this case, only pre- enrolled authorised signatories can authorise the purchase of these drugs. The biometric solution combines an authentication and verification routine for the signatory and the addition of a signature file that is permanently associated with the transaction, along with the audio file that records the call. In addition to the security processes involved during pre-enrolment, the biometric platform also ensures that the call is both live and that no recorded audio is present.


Password reset

This solution is for the automated resetting of passwords. This system is highly secure and can be combined with second and third factor authentication routines depending on the level of security required. The solution uses a text-independent speech biometric engine, which makes the process very intuitive for the caller. The solution combines an authentication and verification routine for the caller. Calls may also be recorded but this is not usually required with password reset and is not included in this version. In addition to the security processes involved during pre-enrolment, the biometric platform also verifies that the call is both live and that no recorded audio is present.


Secure Online TM / Online banking and fraud prevention

This solution is both subtle and highly secure. It provides second and/or third factor authentication routines. A bank customer wishing to access their online bank account, would proceed to log in as normal. Once the standard login procedure has been verified by the bank, an automated call is made to the customers' pre-registered telephone number. Once the users voice is verified, access to their online account is granted. This is where the third factor authentication can also be performed. The automated call asks the customer for a password or letters from their password. The system can check that the actual password or letters are correct and the customer voice print will be checked in the background to ensure that only he/she can be the caller making the transaction. This is enabled by the bank customer enrolling for high security banking service. In return the bank could guarantee no identity theft and 100% secure on-line banking for all transactions involving the biometric voice check.


Offender Monitoring

This solution is for the automated tracking of offenders who need to report either their location via a nominated fixed line or using location based services on a cellular network. The solution combines an authentication and verification routine for the caller. Calls will be recorded and the accuracy of the biometric matching process is such, that it can be used as evidence in the UK courts of law. In addition to the security processes involved during pre-enrolment, the biometric platform also ensures that the call is both live and that no fraudulently recorded audio is present.
